Cain Velasquez Velasquez is the man who vanquished professional wrestler-turned-MMA fighter Brock Lesnar. He not only outclassed and defeated the hulking Lesnar, he also took the UFC heavyweight championship belt away from his shell-shocked opponent. Cain Velasquez sports a pristine nine wins with zero losses record with impressive victories against UFC fighters like the chiseled French striker Cheick Kongo, towering powerhouse Ben Rothwell and grappling ace Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

Jon Jones Possessing incredible reach and phenomenal athleticism, the youthful Jon “Bones” Jones obliterated several UFC fighters in the light heavyweight division before systematically dismantling Mauricio Rua. In defeating the Brazilian legend, Jon Jones became the youngest UFC champion on record. With thirteen wins and just one defeat, he has a near perfect UFC record. His only blemish was a loss via disqualification for using illegal elbows against Matt Hamill who was being beaten, battered and thrown around like a rag doll by Jones before the referee ended the fight.

Anderson Silva The most decorated champion in UFC history, Anderson Silva has defended his UFC Middleweight crown a record eight times. The über-talented Brazilian is known for his accurate and powerful strikes as well as his solid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills. He has has also fought a few times in the UFC light heavyweight division, knocking out both James Irvin and former champion, Forrest Griffin. Very recently, he almost decapitated fellow countryman Vitor Belfort in a championship bout with a nasty front kick to the jaw. Silva, one of the finest UFC fighters ever, retained his title and awaits the next challenger.

Georges St. Pierre The Canadian UFC welterweight champion is another legendary fighter recognized by many as a true pound-for-pound great. Over the years, Georges St. Pierre or “GSP” has built a formidable fight record for himself with 22 wins and only two losses. His first defeat was against a prime Matt Hughes who took him out with a crafty submission move. GSP's other loss was considered by many to be a fluke. He absorbed a solid punch to the head from underdog Matt Serra who followed up with several powerful blows to steal the belt. The two fought once more with GSP totally dominating the erstwhile champion. The main knock against GSP is his inability to end most of his fights via knockout or submission. Instead, he fights with a more cerebral game plan, playing it safe while taking advantage of his opponent's weakneses.

BJ Penn No UFC fighters list would be complete without this fiesty Hawaiian scrapper. During his reign as UFC lightweight champion, Penn took on the toughest challengers and beat them convincingly. Against the smaller Frankie Edgar, most observers believed that Penn would emerge victorious. Unfortunately for the Hawaiian, Frankie used superior speed, textbook strikes and solid wrestling to eke out a win in their first fight to capture the title and prevail once again in their immediate rematch. Clearly disheartened by his losses, Penn is competing once more as a welterweight in an effort to rediscover himself. Also a former welterweight title holder, Penn has since knocked out a rejuvenated Matt Hughes in their third encounter and forced a much bigger Jon Fitch to a majority draw.
