When you use LoJack for cars, the car is protected by an amazing Stolen Vehicle Recovery System. - What if my car is stolen? If your car is stolen, notify the police immediately and be prepared to give them the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for your car. The computer will identify you unique LoJack code and trigger the activation of the LoJack unit signal in your car which can be tracked by Police.
- How do the Police track a LoJack protected car? A LoJack unit sends out a radio frequency signal that is picked up by LoJack Police Tracking computer and provides the location of a stolen car. LoJack can locate a protected car regardless of where it is being hidden. The Police will locate and recover the stolen vehicle and notify you of the recovery.
- Extra LoJack Protection. LoJack offers a feature called Early Warning and Recovery System that will notify you by phone, email, or pager if you car is moved without your authorization. This gives you the opportunity to check your car or notify Police of a theft immediately. The sooner Police know about the theft the quicker they can locate your car and recover it.
