When you want to view private Facebook profiles, then you are probably interested in looking at the Facebook user’s friends, photos, info and Facebook wall. However, if they have a private profile, meaning they have blocked one or all of these elements from being publicly viewed, there are going to be a few more steps involved in viewing the private Facebook profile.

To complete this task, you need:

  • Computer
  • Internet connection
  • Facebook account
  1. Create a Facebook account. To view private Facebook profiles, you first need to have your own account. Visit Facebook.com to sign up. You will need to provide your name, email address, a password, your gender and your birthday. Then click “Sign Up.”
  2. Search for the Facebook user whose private profile you want to see. To do this, find the “Search” box at the top of the page. Type in the user’s name and click the “Search” icon. On the right column, click “People” to limit the search to individuals using Facebook. Then, you can filter the search by entering a location, education network and workplace. Click “Filter” and scroll through the list until you find the person you’re looking for.
  3. Click the “Add as Friend” button. If you want to view a Facebook private profile, you’re going to need to become the user’s Facebook friend. This requires sending a friend request. Once you click “Add as Friend” a window will appear. Click “Add a Personal Message” if you think the person might need a reminder of who you are. This increases your chances of having the request accepted. Click “Send Request” when you’re finished.
  4. Wait for the friend request to be accepted. Once the user accepts your friend request, you will be able to view the private Facebook profile. To view messages from friends and status updates, click “Wall” from below their profile picture. To view their information, such as location, education, jobs, favorite quotes, books and movies and relationship status, click “Info.” To view photo albums and pictures the user is tagged in, click “Photos.” Finally, if you want to view the Facebook users complete friend list, click “Friends.” Then you have viewed the entire Facebook private profile.
