If the picture on your 32-inch Vizio television just doesn't look right anymore, or you changed a setting and don't remember what it was, you need to learn how to reset a Vizio L32 HDTV. Most televisions have a method of returning all the settings in the unit back to the factory defaults, and it should be the first troubleshooting step for all picture and sound issues. The master rest on a Vizio L32 will only reset the picture and sound settings, any other information, like the parental control password, will remain in place. If you have any certain settings that you would like to keep, make sure that you write them down so that you can input them again after you reset the Vizio HDTV.
- Press the "Menu" button on the remote control. If you don't have a remote, you can press the "OSD" button on the front of the Vizio HDTV. This will bring up the main menu.
- Press the right arrow until you get to the "Special Features" section. Without a remote, use the volume up key to scroll through the menu options. The icon for the "Special Features" section is the last one on the right and it looks like a red mallet hitting a nail.
- Press the down arrow to highlight "Reset all Settings." Use the channel down button on the front panel if you don't have a remote.
- Press the "OK" button, on the remote or the front panel, to reset the Vizio L32 HDTV settings.
