Wakeboarding Tricks: How To
Want to learn how to do wakeboarding tricks? Wakeboarding is a water sport you do in the water while being propelled by a motor boat. Use your balance to stand in the water on a board and try your hardest to remain standing. It's a little like water skiing, but your feet are on the same piece of equipment.
Things to help you do wakeboarding tricks:
- Practice
- Patience
- Sense of humor
- Confidence
- Focus on balance first. Make sure you have your balance steady on the wakeboard. One you have your balance down, try pumping a little. Make your body kind of sway downwards and back upwards in a motion to pick up speed.
- Focus on a few wakeboarding tricks at a time. Start off with simple tricks like the bunny hop or kneel down steadily holding your balance and touch the water, which is a basic trick. Don't get too egotistic thinking you can try the more advanced wakeboarding tricks right away; that is not a good idea. Just ease into each wakeboarding tricks. Try to make sure it's the basic to intermediate wakeboarding tricks you start with. It's tempting to start with intermediate and some may be able to pull that off, but starting with the basics is really a better idea. Focus on two or three wakeboarding tricks at a time.
Have a sense of humor about messing up and just have fun with it. Odds are you are not the only one who is going to fall and mess up when you are learning wakeboarding tricks. You'll all be goofing off together and laughing.
