- Priapism is a male reproductive external organ disorder that affects the penis and testicles. It is a painful and persistent erection that lasts more than 4 hours. It occurs when blood flows into the penis, but is not drained. It can be caused by alcohol, drug abuse, injury to your penis, or blood diseases. It cannot be relieved with sex, or having and orgasm, but it will cause pain during sexual intercourse. - Peyronie's disease is a disorder that causes a hard lump or plaque forms on the penis. It can cause irritation, swelling, and inflammation. This is caused inflammations of lymphatic vessels, or blood, connective tissue disorders, or it can be hereditary. If you have this disorder and have pain during sexual intercourse, avoid having sex until you seek medical advice from a doctor. Usually this disorder is treated surgically.

Let your partner straddle you, lie on your back with a pillow tucked under your butt, and avoid leaning forward during sexual intercourse. If the pain is excruciating, you should seek medical help and avoid sexual intercourse until you are treated.
- If you are uncircumcised this will cause you to have pain during sexual intercourse. The foreskin might be too tight, and pushed back over the head of the penis. Stimulation during intercourse might cause it to be uncomfortable and painful. This may also cause infection or scar tissue around the head of the penis. Some men can retract their foreskin, while others can’t. Avoid masturbation and sexual intercourse until you are treated and healed. You can use lubricant to relieve inflammation, or your doctor can perform a circumcision.
- If you have an STD, get treated right away. STD’s can cause blisters, warts, and other painful outbreaks in the genital area. This can cause pain during sexual intercourse. If you have a Sexually Transmitted Disease, seek treatment right away from your physician so that you can be cured. Avoid sexual intercourse, and inform your partner that they should seek medical treatment as well.
