What Does Milf Mean

If you have to ask what "MILF" means, you may be too young to hear the answer. The term "MILF" was made popular in the movie "American Pie" and was used in reference to Stifler's mom. She was a blowsy blond who drank, smoked and was obviously up for whatever a young man could imagine. Paul Finch was the lucky winner when he took Stifler's mom (aka Janine) to bed.

The term predates the movie, as MILF was found on news groups as early as 1995 ("American Pie" was released in 1999). It's really pretty easy to explain what the term means without giving in to vulgarity. If you see a beautiful older woman who has a ton of charisma and she happens to be a mom, she then becomes a "Mom I'd Like to F*ck." And that's the definition of MILF.

In the years since "American Pie," it's become a pwn or burn in young society to insinuate or claim that you bedded the other guy's mom. One will insult the other, who will say "Orly? Well, that's not what your mom said last night." The more graphic and detailed, the bigger/better the slur.

Since moms can be hot well into their 60s and beyond, this particular insult shows no sign of losing steam any time soon. Society should wonder, though, why is it that it's OK for male teens to view a mom as a MILF, but when the shoe is on the other foot, it's statutory rape? That entire school of thought is not legal to run in the opposite direction, nevermind be perceived as high hilarity.
