What happens when you lose your virginity? Really fellas? This kind of question is usually followed by answers that pertain to physical changes in a woman's body. Well, there could be, arguably, mental changes in a man when he loses his virginity. But, physically speaking, you're going to stay pretty much the same. Unless of course you make the mistake of having unprotected sex and catch something. For the sake of argument, assume that all guys practice safe sex. So, what happens to a guy, mentally or even socially, after he loses his virginity?
A weight is lifted. Face it, for most guys, unless you're A.C. Green (former L.A. Laker's player), your virginity is something you're dying to get rid of. Think back to high school. All the guys from fourteen years of age to 18 lie about all the women they're getting. The truth of the matter is, most of them aren't getting any play what so ever. So they walk around, hiding what they feel is some deep dark secret about their current respective virginities. Many guys feel like losing that virginity is sort of a right of passage into true manhood.
After the first. It's like a breath of fresh air. The world seems slightly different, better, more enjoyable. You feel as if you can have anything in life. Mentally speaking, many guys make the mistake of linking self worth to the ability to get a girl. So, when you've proven to yourself you can, an immediate rush of self confidence covers you like your favorite warm blanket.
A wolf after a bloody steak. Once the mystery of sex is finally revealed to you, and the shackles of virginity broken, you want more. It's as simple as that. Why do you think sex addicts exist? Sex is one of the most alluring, powerfully gripping actions anyone can be a part of. Sex underlyingly controls everything. So, when you realize you can get sex, you want it even more than you did when your penis was nothing more than the business end of a filtration system.
Your swagger. No one knows how true this is. There are a lot of guys out there that are still just as awkward after losing their virginities as they were before doing the deed. But, some women claim they can tell a virgin from a "deflowered" young man simply because of how he carries himself. There's a cooler presence about him, more focused.
It's all up to you. The truth is, guys place a heavy burden on other men by making them feel as if they need to lose their virginities as early as possible. Sex does not make the man. The number of women you get in bed doesn't make you a better person. Your self confidence shouldn't go hand in hand with how much sex you get. Anyone reading this that happens to be a virgin needs to realize this important fact. Until you're ready to have sex, and your partner is ready, don't sweat it. Live life and build your confidence up by improving in all aspects of your life.
