What is Rocawear, you ask? Rocawear is a popular brand of urban clothing founded by the popular rapper, Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Damon Dash. It was created in 1999, and continues to sell about $700 million worth of merchandise annually. Merchandise from Rocawear originally started as urban wear for men, but quickly and successfully branched out to other items such as sunglasses, ladies intimates, jewelry and handbags for women.

Rocawear has since expanded its brand lines to children and youth wear, socks, shoes, accessories such as belts and head-wear and an abundance of other items. It remains as popular today as it was in 1999. Some very notable celebrities in hip hop rock this style of clothing and some of them are even models or the faces of Rocawear. One well known face of Rocawear is R&B singer, Ciara.

Although the apparel is very popular among Americans of all ethnic backgrounds, it is as popular internationally. There are offices located in Europe, Japan, Canada, United Kingdom and other international countries as well. The global growth demonstrates just how trendy and prominent Rocawear has become.

Rocawear is priced fairly considering it provides the buyers with quality and appealing apparel and consistently produces a profit in retail stores. It is affordable for the average consumer and can have some high end fashion apparel for those who can afford to spend a little more than average.
