In the context of scientific fraud comes the illegal ownership of information that should otherwise be accredited to others.
While working on new technology the procedure starts from basics and later expands on a magnanimous level. This involves many minor steps. Often times years of research only bring about a simple result, however scientific fraud can take place at many levels.
Sometimes working on scientific projects involves working alongside hundreds of people and coordinators who work to help keep the project moving along. Scientific fraud can often practiced at this level. For instance if during observation any of the readings are altered, the end result may be altered. Similarly, submitting ideas that belong to a colleague also comes under the category of scientific fraud.
It is often very difficult to assess scientific fraud. The reason being that scientific research is a lengthy process that requires hours of toiling. All this work sometimes achieves no result and has to eventually be discarded. If during that time any calculation or observation is accidently collected in the final data the whole result can be altered. This kind of situation could mean the allegation is of an accidental nature and cannot come under the category of scientific fraud.
