1. Sunglasses are one of the most important things to wear to a beach wedding. While planning on the part of the bride and groom may mean that no one is directly facing the California sun, it may still be bright outside and you want to be able to see what is going on. While sunglasses at an indoor wedding may look silly, for an outside wedding, this is a must.
2. Casual pants are best. You don't want to wear jeans, but typically a beach wedding is a more casual event.
