What To Wear With Black And White Plaid Shorts
Figuring out what to wear with black and white plaid shorts is up to your personal style. Plaid shorts are in style. You see all types of plaid shorts, including black and white plaid shorts almost everywhere. People wear a variety of different things with their plaid shorts. Yes, it seems as if plaid clothing is all the rage. Because of this, you can pretty much match up anything with a pair of plaid shorts, even more so with a pair of black and white plaid shorts because of the neutrality of the colors. Here are some tips for what to wear with a nice pair of black and white plaid shorts.
- Shirts. When choosing a shirt to wear with your black and white plaid shorts, you just have to remember one thing. Black and white go with everything. There are some shirt colors and styles you should stay away from. But, you should avoid these shirt types regardless if you're wearing black and white plaid shorts or anything else for that matter. Don't do a plaid shirt with plaid shorts. It just looks stupid. Stay away from polk-a-dots. Once again, a stupid choice. You're best bet is to choose shirts with solid colors. A nice polo works well with a pair of black and white plaid shorts. You could do tees and collared shirts as well. Choose solid colors for these as well. Oh, and wearing a black shirt will look better than choosing a white one. As far as the colors you choose, those are totally up to you.
- Head gear. Once again, stuff like this is really up to your personal preference. Because your shorts have plaid in them, you want to be conservative about putting plaid anywhere else on your person. You could pull off a black and white plaid hat, if and only if the plaid pattern is similar to the one on the shorts. Even then, you should consider wearing a solid colored hat as well. Plaid is cool, but too much plaid will make you look like a scrambled TV station.
- Foot wear. Solid color foot wear. Whatever you choose, make sure the colors are solid and darker. You have to use your own judgement here. Do your shoes clash with the rest of your outfit? If so, then scrap them for another pair. Be careful of the "Air Moses." You know, sandals. People love to throw sandals with shorts. They may not fit the entire ensemble. Oh, and if you do choose sandals, rocking socks with them is, for lack of a better word...tacky.
- Other stuff. Any other accessory you may throw on must follow these two simple rules. They should compliment the overall outfit. They shouldn't draw attention away from the overall outfit. So, stay away from gaudy crap and you'll be fine.
