What To Wear With Red Shoes

Wearing red shoes may seem like a fashion faux pas for the color matching king. But selecting the right outfit can make wearing red shoes a fashion hit.

  1. Black and White. Wearing red shoes with a black and white outfit can add just the touch of color you need to stand out in the crowd. A casual black suit or white pants and black jacket are brought to life with red shoes. Black on black outfits can be boring in appearance until the red shoe is added. All white outfits can literally fade into the walls visually unless a strong color, such as red is added.
  2. Pins Stripes. Pins stripe suits can be given a boost by wearing red shoes. The overly professional looking attire is given a punch of fun with this accessory. Navy blue, gray, black, yellows and even green pins stripe pants and suits work well with red shoes.
  3. Patterns. Wearing red shoes can bring out the red tones in patterned outfits. A shirt with tiny red stripes can actually be accented by the shoes. Multicolored patterns with small bits of red are also accentuated. Print pants with red accents need red shoes to calm the look and draw on-lookers eyes downward. A tropical patterned shirt with red flowers or vines is complimented nicely with red shoes.
  4. Jeans. Wearing red shoes can dress up a pair of jeans. Straight leg or skinny jeans are especially accented by wearing red lace-up or slip on shoes. Be aware of not clashing your shoes with a top. Purple or pink shirts should not be worn with red shoes.
