What Is Zumba Fitness
Learn about the fitness craze of Zumba and what is Zumba fitness. Zumba has been around for more than a decade but has caught on as very popular in the last number of years. It isn't your typical workout with sit-ups. Zumba was created by dancer "Alberto" Beto Perez. Zumba is considered to be lots of fun and doesn't feel as much like what someone might consider a boring workout. There is even a line for Zumba workout clothing, but you certainly don't have to get it and wear it to do the workouts.
Dancing the inches away That is part of what Zumba is supposed to be about. Even for beginners, catching on to the steps is nowhere near impossible. The beginning workouts show you the dance steps slowly and then have you go a little faster. You'll be doing the Merengue and other fun, sexy dances if you do this. Even the beginner workout will leave you sweating unless you are already in good shape.
Zumba classes Some fitness centers have Zumba classes you can sign up for and try out. Be warned that the people in the class may or may not already be in great shape. If you are a self-conscious type, you'll want to hold off on this. This is clearly a personal choice. The Zumba class can be very fun and if you are a more social person it could motivate you to go. The Zumba classes are not free.
Fun workout For many people, Zumba doesn't feel like a work out. If the idea of dance-like exercise is a more appealing form of exercise to you, Zumba may be just right. You'll probably be able to eat a bit more because you burn so many calories from doing the dance moves. If you are into clubbing, some of the dance moves could be used there. Zumba is expensive to buy, but it may be available at your library.
