- Skydive San Francisco If you have never tried skydiving before, you can be jumping from as high as 13,000 feet after only one hour of instruction. You'll make your first tandem jump with your instructor from your choice of 7,000 foot, 10,000 foot or 13,000 foot altitudes. Skydive San Francisco offers an AFF training and a static line course. The six- to eight-hour static line skydiving course is the traditional learning method for skydiving. You'll make your first jump from an altitude of 3,000 feet and become certified as a "novice parachutist". Your first jump will be a tandem jump with the teacher after a period of instruction. They also offer a seven level AFF training program to provide you with the tools you need to become a regular skydiver.
