Who Is Glenn Beck?
If you've watched Fox News or seen a number of ridiculous clips of a the blonde-haired news host reading from the bible or crying for no reason, then you may ask yourself, quite seriously, who is Glenn Beck? A newscaster, an author, an idiot: these are many ways to describe who Glenn Beck is, though he does have a large number of fans out there who watch him on a regular basis. You can listen to him on the radio or on his podcast, or buy his books. Whether people actually take him seriously is another thing entirely.
Glenn Beck decided he wanted to do talk radio at age thirteen and worked hard to get his own talk radio show. By 2002, Glenn Beck had his radio show on 47 stations around the country and boomed in popularity. His bizarrely enthusiastic and entertaining personality earned him a CNN news show from 2006 to 2008, a headline news show that discussed nightly new events. Whether this show was terribly journalistic or just bent on entertaining, it garnered Glenn Beck a ton of attention for all of his other pursuits. His radio show grew to where it is now being carried on 400 different stations, and it is the third highest rated talk radio show in the country. He then landed a spot on Fox News and CNN dropped him, as Glenn Beck's diatribes became crazier and increasingly more right-leaning. Glenn Beck is also a New York Times bestselling writer, having six consecutive #1 books in the country. He writes fiction and non-fiction, ranging from political books to thrillers.
