If you are thinking about using your Wii to get some exercise, check out the Wii Fit vs. Wii Fit Plus. The Wii Fit was introduced a few years ago as a way to get consumers to combine video games with their exercise routine. The idea became a huge success, so Nintendo upated it with the Wii Fit Plus. There aren't a whole lot of differences between the games, but if you are trying to choose between the two, here is what you need to know.
More games on Wii Fit Plus. The Wii Fit is all about the games and activities you can do to exercise. The Wii Fit Plus has a number of new games including Rhythm Kung Fu, Island Cycling, Segway Circuit and Snowball fight.
Exercise combos removed. The original Wii Fit would suggest certain exercises you should combine together and this feature has been removed from the Wii Fit Plus. If you have the Wii Fit and like this feature, you can still find it on other sites like GameFaqs.
Added features to Wii Fit Plus. With the Wii Fit Plus you can create your own workout. Before you start exercising you can choose a number of different exercises to make your workout as long or as short as you want. The original Wii Fit did not have this feature. When you finish one exercise you would need to stop and go back to the menu to choose your next routine. For many, the motivation to continue probably waned onced they stopped moving, so this feature is a great addition.
Player selection. Another added feature with the Wii Fit Plus is the ability to change your player when you are in the mini-games. The Wii Fit made you go back to the main menu if you wanted to change your character.
Save feature. The Wii Fit Plus will allow you to save your routine for another time. If you liked what you did, you don't need to recreate it every time you want to do the same exercise.
