However, even if you have natural skills and ability, and love to play the game, that’s not always enough to get you to that championship trophy. With hard work, dedication and the right training, you can become a more advanced player who can help bring your team to victory.

1. Get to know the rules. Before you can win lacrosse games, you need to know all the rules of the game. For example, to score in lacrosse, you need to shoot the ball into the opposing team’s goal. However, there are many more technical rules to follow, including the beginning face-off, the basics of fouls and where the players need to be on the team.
2. Perfect your position. There are four main positions in men’s lacrosse. These include attack, midfield, defense and goal. Whatever position you play is the one you should be focusing on when learning more about the game and when practicing your lacrosse skills. For example, the job of the attack position is to score as many goals as possible. You and your fellow players should work together to develop plays that will help you ultimately defend your goal and score more points. For example, moving the ball down the field from one player on your team to another is an important strategy to develop. This is one way to get the ball closer to the opposing team’s goal so you can score more points.
4. Keep training. To be successful and win lacrosse games, you need to have strength, power, speed and endurance. This means you must have a solid, consistent training and exercise routine to follow. This routine should include weight lifting, agility exercises, speed workouts and endurance training.
5. Work as a team. Winning lacrosse games will require working as a team. Know the strengths of your fellow players and use them. Don’t try to be the star. If someone on your team is in a better position than you, pass the ball and let them shoot for the goal. Ultimately, you will all be stars on the winning lacrosse team.
