Young Money Members

To learn a little bit about some of hip hop's biggest and brightest stars of today, all you have to do is take a look at a list of the Young Money members. Young Money Entertainment is a record company that was established in 2005 by New Orleans-bred Lil Wayne, who is one of the biggest rapping superstars of the past several years. In the winter of 2009, the Young Money members released a collaborative effort called "We Are Young Money," which consisted of tracks by the record label's numerous signed artists.

1. Lil Wayne is the mastermind behind Young Money Entertainment. The outspoken rapper and father of four children, who spent eight months in prison in 2010, has been active on the hip hop scene since he was just nine years-old. His debut solo album came out in 1999 and was called "Tha Block is Hot." Other notable albums by Lil Wayne include "Tha Carter," "Rebirth" and "I Am Not a Human Being."
2. Nicki Minaj is another integral component to Young Money Entertainment. The sassy and pink-haired R&B artist is of Trinidadian heritage and was raised in Queens, New York. Nicki Minaj's sensational hit solo debut album is called "Pink Friday" and features tracks including "Your Love," "Check it Out," "Moment 4 Life" and "Roman's Revenge." "Pink Friday" is a collaborative effort with many other well-known artists, such as Eminem, Rihanna, Kanye West, will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas, Drake and Natasha Bedingfield.
3. Drake is an R&B and hip hop artist native to Toronto, Canada. Drake has been a force in the music industry since 2006, but before that also had a career as an actor in television, with parts in programs such as "Degrassi: The Next Generation" and "Blue Murder." Some of Drake's most well-received tracks include "Fancy," "Find Your Love," "Over" and "Miss Me." Drake is one of the most well-known Young Money members, along with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
4. Lil Twist (who was born Christopher Moore) is a Dallas, Texas-born teenager rapper and member of the Young Money Entertainment crew. Lil Twist is an up-and-coming artist who is known for tracks such as "The Leak" and "Little Secret," which featured Lil Wayne and Bow Wow, respectively.
