You know you’re a badass when even your suit shades your adversary. UFC superstar Conor McGregor and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. have an epic fight coming up on August 26th, and to promote it they met up at a news conference in Los Angeles.
Of course, the typical “I’m going to beat your ass” smack talk went down, but what caught everyone’s attention the most was McGregor’s suit.
From a distance, McGregor’s get-up appeared to be a normal three-piece, pinstripe suit. But a close-up picture of the suit revealed that the pinstripes were made up of the phrase “F**k You” repeated vertically over and over.
According to GQ, the suit was made by David August. “Conor has been a longtime client and friend of ours, and we’re deeply honored to be a part of this epic, historic story as it unfolds,” CEO David August Heil said. “With a force in sports and fashion like Conor, it makes our job exciting to create unique looks that enhance his natural confidence and power. He’s a disrupter in everything he does, and we’re intoxicated by his passion and drive.”
This craziness doesn’t end there. Actually, it’s all just beginning. The Mayweather-McGregor press tour continues with stops in Toronto on Wednesday, Brooklyn on Thursday and London on Friday.
We can’t wait to see if McGregor makes anymore statements via his fashion choices. He could decide to use his mouth to shoot out some more insults instead. That also seems to be one of his tools. He was spitting out pretty intense and profane words during Tuesday’s news conference, too.
