It’s true. Google and Best Buy have teamed up to offer the Nexus S Android smartphone, which is available on T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint, for free today (Wednesday, August 3).

Shockingly, there’s a catch. It comes with a two-year contract.

On the upside, the phone has some great features. The Nexus S runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and boasts a 1Ghz processor, 16GB of flash memory and a 4-inch touchscreen.

Given that it’s normally $99 or $199, if you want it, today’s the day to get it. Then load it up with The 12 Best New Smartphone Apps and become so cool that lovely T-Mobile girl will be trying to “get more” from you.
