The picks in the survivor pool are rolling. This week, it’s a coming out party for the Lions, who will tear apart a Chicago Bears team that won’t hit its stride until the second half of the season. On the other hand, the struggles continue against the number. We’re going with a winless Vikings team to turn things around.
DETROIT over Chicago
This is probably the most interesting game of the young season. The Lions have pulled off a couple 20-point comebacks on the road and now they come back home to play a Monday night game with the Ford Field crowd going wild. This is a team loaded with young talent and they are ready to put on a show for the home fans and make a statement on national television. The Bears will probably be able to stay with them for a half, but they will have no answer for Calvin Johnson in the late going. The Bears run away and hide in the second half.

Against the Spread
MINNESOTA (-3) over Arizona
You really think the Vikings are going to lose every game they play? That’s not going to happen. They have the best running back in the league in Adrian Peterson and all they will have to do to win this game is give him the ball at least 10 times in the second half. The players like head coach Leslie Frazier and want to get him a win. Despite slow-ish Donovan McNabb at quarterback, the Vikings have an opportunity to overpower the Cardinals and run them out of the Metrodome.
MINNESOTA 28, Arizona 17
