New York City locals know that just about the last place you want to be when the ball drops is Times Square. It’s cold, it’s crowded and outside of a flask, your drinking options are pretty limited.
So if you are going to be in the area this weekend, may we suggest heading about 20 blocks south and west of that iconic location? There you will find a cool, classy, unforgettable alternative: The McKittrick Hotel’s King’s Winter Masquerade: A New Year’s Eve Soirée.
See, the McKittrick Hotel is the regular home of the immersive theater spectacle known as Sleep No More, but they also offer the Masquerade, a dance party series that brings out the wonderful secrets of the hotel itself. And on special occasions, they really blow things out with sexy, performance-filled, one-of-kind events.
In their own words, the King’s Winter Masquerade will feature opulent masked revelry, a decadent dinner feast, dancing, specially created one-night-only performances, as well as a full open bar, boundless live entertainment and McKittrick-inspired surprises throughout the hotel. Guests should come attired in costumes fit for a king—in shades of gold, silver and black.
Having attended this year’s Halloween party, we have no doubt that the New Year’s bash will be one for the ages.
