Hear that, boys? Next weekend is Father’s Day. And if you want Dad to ever forgive you for backing the Chevy over that fire hydrant in high school, now’s the time to strike with a kickass gift. Here are several options for a few different kinds of dads. Choose wisely.

For the Drinking Dad…

Prizefight Irish Whiskey ($45): We’ve always loved the tang of Irish Whiskey, and this new label celebrating the Irish-American connection (and mid-1800s boxing legends like John Morrissey and Yankee Sullivan, pictured on the bottle) does not disappoint. A blend of 10-year-old malt and 4-year-aged grain whiskeys, Prizefight spends six months in American rye casks, resulting in a smoky but smooth spirit that delivers a flavor wallop—in a good way.

Sagamore Spirit Cask Strength Rye Whiskey ($75): As Sagamore Spirit seeks to revive Maryland’s whiskey heritage, this expression sure doesn’t hurt. Crafted with a splash of limestone water from Sagamore Farm, this bold 113.6-proof whiskey hits the tongue with flavors of honeysuckle, citrus and caramel, followed by a black pepper and vanilla finish. It’s perfect for mixing or sipping.

Cenote Reposado Tequila ($55): New tequila label Cenote gets its name from the spectacular underground water systems of the Yucatán Peninsula, which the Mayans considered “windows to the underworld” inhabited by gods and goddesses. And while we’ve tried and love of all of their tequilas, the Reposado stands out with a beguiling combo of vanilla, wood, spice and green vegetable flavors. Instant sipping pleasure.

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum ($22): We are just big fans of this classic rum and everything it’s associated with, from tattoos to motorcycles to support for the troops. Goes with just about everything but we especially enjoy it in a Jerry Loves Ginger, Rum Punch or a simple Cuba Libre. Dad will, too.

For the Adventurous Dad…

Priority 600 All-Road Bicycle ($2,199): This beautiful new ride boasts a groundbreaking Pinion Gearbox designed by former Porsche engineers with a massive 600 percent range (hence the name), delivering the versatility of a 30-speed. It also features burlier-than-average tires, a low-maintenance Gates Carbon Drive belt, disc brakes and built-in lighting. In other words, where Dad’s going, he won’t need (paved) roads!

Eagle Creek All Purpose Duffel 60L ($199): Help Dad step up from the average weekender with this versatile, durable, weather-resistant bag. With multiple carry options, two full, divided packing compartments and a variety of attachment points for additional cargo, it’s a rugged individualist’s dream—complete with a voucher for a free subscription to National Geographic Traveler, score!

Leatherman Signal ($110): No hiker or camper should leave home without a trusty multi-tool, and this new edition is loaded with 19 features to serve all sorts of outdoor needs. Signal-specific highlights include a diamond-coated sharpener, fire-starting ferro rod, emergency whistle—to go along with loads of life-saving blades, pliers, openers and drivers, of course.

The J. Peterman Company J.D. Gillespie’s Shirt ($69): That’s right, he’s not just a character from Seinfeld—J. Peterman is a real guy with a real company that makes wonderful clothes complete with majestic descriptions not unlike in the show. Indeed, this particular item’s writeup mentions “Pub crawls in Naples…bar fights in Rota…mortar attacks in Afghanistan. Long hikes and short nights.” Dad will love it.

Bandolier Alex Wallet Case ($68): Form and function combine cleverly in this black leather iPhone case, which not only looks good but features a handy snap-pocket for stashing credit cards, cash and similar items. That makes it perfect for the on-the-go dad who doesn’t want to be weighed down by excess baggage.

For the Pampered Dad…

Trident Hotel Collection Quick Dry Supima Cotton Bath Towel ($50): No matter your age, few things are so luxuriously comforting as a big, plush towel after a hot shower. Give Dad the gift of that comfort with Trident’s latest offering. Pair it with RITUALS The Ritual of the Samurai Refreshing Ritual ($45), a beautifully boxed gift set featuring shower foam, 2 in 1 shampoo & shower gel, body scrub and shaving cream to help him start off every day feeling fresh, clean and ready for action.

John Varvatos Classic Fragrance ($89): To begin with, we can’t help but admire this flask-shaped bottle. But what’s inside is even better. While a lot of colognes come off a bit too floral for our liking, this one strikes just the right note: a manly but not overpowering musk featuring scents of leather, exotic woods and Mediterranean herbs.

Contenders Apollo Creed Boxers ($24): ’80s era nostalgia has never been hotter, and these soft, form-fitting All-American undies (or as Dad might call them, “utrow”) dovetail perfectly with our daydreams. Oh, and if Dad’s not a big Master of Disaster fan, never fear: Contenders offers Rocky, Drago and Clubber Lang styles as well.

Naked Cashmere Caleb V-neck Sweater ($250): For garments that feel as good as they look, you can’t really do better than Naked Cashmere. This gorgeous sweater boasts 245 grams of the finest Scottish cotton cashmere in 12-gauge knit, and styles well with a nice collared shirt or all by itself. If Dad isn’t stoked about this gift, man, you must have really messed up the Chevy.
