Summer is almost over (wtf?), but there’s still time to sip delicious cocktails in the sun. So why not try this South Seas-tinged twist on the traditional negroni? It swaps in spiced rum for gin and tickles your throat with the addition of ginger liqueur. Oh and bonus points if there’s a beach beauty on your glass…
Jerry Loves Ginger’s Spiced Negroni
1 part Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
1 part Campari
.5 part Ginger Liqueur
.5 part Sweet Vermouth
In a mixing glass, measure Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. Add Campari, Ginger Liqueur and Sweet Vermouth. Add a few chunks of ice and stir to blend flavors and dilute. Add more ice and repeat. Strain into empty chilled old fashioned glass. Add fresh ice block, garnish with candied ginger and serve with a soon-to-be-soused smile.
