What do assassins, bank robbers, super villains and cold-blooded killers have in common? When they’re women, Hollywood tends to make them really, really hot. Take, for instance, the upcoming film Colombiana, which follows a female assassin on her quest to avenge the death of her family. That would be a pretty cool story on its own, but the fact that the assassin is played by Zoe Saldana, one of Hollywood‘s most gorgeous up-and-coming actresses, makes the whole thing that much better. Here are a few of our favorite movie criminals, all of whom fall into the “dangerously sexy” category.

Zoe Saldana as Cataleya Restrepo, Colombiana, 2011

A highly trained assassin with a penchant for discrete murder and a mind for vengeance. Hot? Unequivocally, yes.

Faye Dunaway as Bonnie Parker, Bonnie and Clyde, 1967

Few bank managers would pass up the opportunity to be held at gunpoint by such a lovely lady.

Sharon Stone as Catherine Tramell, Basic Instinct, 1992

Sure, she may end up stabbing you with an ice pick, but it would totally be worth it, right? Right?

Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kathryn Merteuil, Cruel Intentions, 1999

Not quite a criminal in the legal sense, but something tells us this chick grew up to be a professional extortionist. Either that or she went into finance.

Mila Kunis as Rachael, American Psycho II, 2002

The movie sucked, but the Mila Kunis aspect of it was more than tolerable.

Michelle Pfiefer as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Batman Returns, 1992

A bit on the kinky side, yes, but that’s hardly a bad thing. The claw-tipped gloves would be a hazard in the sack, of course.

Angelina Jolie as Sara Wayland, Gone In 60 Seconds, 2000

The sweet hair? The extensive knowledge of cars? The rockin’ bod? Perhaps the perfect woman.

Uma Thurman as Beatrice Kiddo, Kill Bill, 2003

She wore vengeance like an elegant evening gown. An elegant evening gown that happened to be soaked in the blood of her enemies.

Lucy Liu as O Ren Ishii, Kill Bill, 2003

Naturally, the only woman to stand half a chance again Beatrice Kiddo had to be just as dangerous and just as deadly with a sword. The fact that she was just as hot (and arguably hotter) only made their final showdown that much better to watch.

Anna Parillaud as Nikita, La Femme Nikita, 1990

There’s just something about lady assassins.
