If you ever talk to anyone at the New York Merc (Maybe even the Chicago Merc) you will hear about the money lost and made during Hurrican Katrina. It was an incredible to hear the stories of the millions of dollars put on the line during that time. Guys that were “old school” couldn’t believe the size changing hands during these times. Rumors have it that Steve Berkson made $20 million that week but nobody really knows. They just know he made a boatload of cash. He made a huge play that things were going to be bad and he was right. What if he was wrong. Most likely the exact same numbers but the other way. Talk about some big balls. He was going to be Trader of the Year either way, best or worst.
