How hot is that new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR we had the chance to drive through NYC’s Park Avenue Tunnel to kick off the 2016 New York International Auto Show?

Hot enough to also get Michelle Rodriguez pretty riled up behind the wheel, as you’ll see in the video clip below. And that says a lot given all the insane cars she’s slid into over the course of the Fast and Furious franchise.

Of course, we’re betting an all-wheel-drive, 575-horsepower Jag with a top speed of 200 mph would turn just about anyone on.

The new F-TYPE SVR, which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, is the second vehicle to emerge from the company’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division, created to crank up the thrill factor on Land Rovers and Jaguars.

For this model, the SVO team went to work with a goal to make the sports car even lighter, faster and more powerful than the F-TYPE R.  The result is one of the most menacing production Jags to date, with a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.5 secs. Mark Stanton, Director of Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Operations / SVO, credits a push to amplify the dynamics of the car while staying true to the core design elements of the vehicle.

“If you go back and talk about performance, talk about luxury, talk about capability, that’s already in the DNA of the core products,” he explains. “What we then do is pick a particular product like the F-TYPE that is already a performance car and amplify that performance further.”

Available as both a coupe and convertible, the new F-TYPE SVR features a supercharged V8 engine, enlarged air intakes in the front bumper and an active rear spoiler that deploys whenever the driver selects the vehicle’s Dynamic mode. But the new Jag’s most addictive feature is its titanium exhaust system, which includes a unique split muffler to give the car one crazy-sounding exhaust note.

Then again, Rodriguez would probably argue that the rush of getting the F-TYPE SVR up to 200 mph can be pretty addictive as well.
