People have finally figured out that the service plans that Best Buy sell are a scam. Twenty five percent of their profit (and even more some quarters) came from those bogus service plans. I can guarantee those are not selling nearly as well as people have realized they are better off just taking the chance, saving the money and when something does break just buy another one. The cost of the service plan over several items will easily buy you a new product. It’s not like every electronic you buy is going to break.
