Sometimes you’re too drunk to type out what you really need or too polite to send an actual dick pic. For those moments, we have food emoji (burrito and eggplant, respectively). And those of us who lean heavily on the culinary characters will be thrilled to learn there are more on the way.

The Unicode Consortium recently announced the full list of new emoji officially set for release later this month, and some much-needed goodies made the list, including whiskey on the rocks, bacon and even an avocado.

The symbols will vary in appearance from device to device, and it’s possible not every emoji will be available on every platform. Still, we decided to play around with some of the previews to see if we could come up with a recipe using strictly emoji.

While it proved to be a bit of a challenge given the lack of kitchen staples like onions, salt, pepper, and butter, we were able to put together a pretty decadent egg, avocado and bacon sandwich recipe.

Pretty easy to follow, right?

Here’s hoping future updates include more cooking basics—because we can all agree that even if we’re not using emoji to create recipes, a butter emoji is something we need. And mayonnaise. Because this sandwich is a lot better with mayonnaise.

For now, the only question that remains is: Will the new cucumber and baguette emoji totally oust the eggplant or what?

Egg and Avocado with Bacon Sandwich

2 slices bacon
2 slices white bread
Olive oil
Egg
½ avocado
Salt and pepper

Cook the bacon until crispy using your preferred method (375ºF in the oven for 15 minutes works well). Remove the bacon to a paper-towel lined plate then lightly toast the bread (optional). Slice the avocado and put it on one slice of the bread, then top with the bacon. Warm the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the egg until the white is cooked and the yolk is still runny. Slide the egg on top of the bacon, salt and pepper, and top with the remaining piece of bread. Enjoy with OJ, coffee or, hey, whiskey on the rocks…
