You might think you already put all your money into video games. Now, you can cut out the middle man at the cash register and insert your hard-earned greenbacks directly into a game, literally.
Etsy user nilesz has used Atari 2600 video game cartridges and painstakingly repurposed every component of the cartridge to form a wallet; and a pretty retro awesome one at that. That’s right; the wire that serves as a money clip, the hinges, everything used to make this was a part of the original cartridge–the chip is even still in there so you can actually play the game. Can you play your wallet right now? Didn’t think so.
You’re probably thinking carrying a video game cartridge in your back pocket might be a little uncomfortable. Well the stats are up on NilesZ.com, the maker of the Atari wallet; their product is the same size as a normal wallet, but lighter. And more sturdy. Plus, if you ever get pick-pocketed, the thief will probably just toss the cartridge, thinking you were just some uber-nerd. Well, maybe you are, but now you don’t have to cancel all your credit cards! The Atari Wallets range from $35 to $55 and you can choose from twenty different games. You can find them here.
