UPDATE: We have our winners. Thanks to everyone who participated. More great giveaways coming soon.
Barbecue is an essential part of any manly diet. But good barbecue can be hard to come by, unless you happen to have a few killer recipes of your own. Fortunately, there’s Pig of the Month, an online barbecue specialty shop that delivers finger-licking ribs, pork, sauces and sides straight to your doorstep, ready to be heated and enjoyed like they just came off the grill. As lifelong purveyors of good barbecue, we at Made Man feel compelled to let the world know about Pig of the Month’s efforts, so we’ve partnered with these fine folks to give away a three-month membership to their BBQ of the Month club. That’s three months of delicious barbecue, delivered to your home for free. Here’s how to win:
In the comment section below, tell us your favorite barbecue food item. Ribs? Chicken? Pulled pork? Something less traditional? Feel free to elaborate. Enter your submission by July 21 at 12pm EST. We’ll pick three winners at random. The first place winner will receive a three-month BBQ club membership. The two runners-up will each get Pig of the Month’s four-sacue sampler pack.

Pulled Pork, but it MUST be Carolina style.
Not drenched in any red bbq sauce; like every where else, but it has that bite from the vinegar based bbq sauce.
mmm, love it. I want some now.

Out back, already ready…. Shoulder with sauce and brisket with rub. Will be up for 24 hours, but that is a party in itself!

I like my pulled pork sandwich neat. No sauce. The meat should speak for itself. I think that’s true with any style of BBQ. If you drown it in sauce, you’re doing it wrong.

So I have a killer smoked chicken wing recipe…boil them in beer, batter them in a special sauce, and then glaze right at the end. Second best wings in the world…

My favorite? That’s hard to choose… it’s hard to be a perfectly cooked rack of ribs. But if anything can, it’s a perfectly cooked brisket.

I personally like to fire up my smoker and use an apple wood for the smoke with an apple juice/Jack Daniels mixture in the moisture tray to finish off the flavoring. (I also add a little dry rub to the bird in the beginning as well.)
