Engineers at MIT began developing a futuristic concept 2 years ago that would allow electronic devices to be powered now with conductive wires as they are now, but wirelessly, through the air, via magnetic induction. Sound like science fiction? Get with the times, dude. We’re about 18 months out.
Currently, two companies are developing this technology simultaneously in the hopes of being first to market in what promises to be a wildly popular innovation (especially for the OCD crowd).
