In keeping with the theme of ridiculously expensive domiciles in London, let’s take a look at the soon to be sold most expensive home in the world.

UK Steel magnate and the world’s 4th richest man, Lakshmi Mittal, is in the process of purchasing this lovely estate in West London for $230 Million (£ 117 million). The whole mansion will end up costing around $15,840 per square foot!

Now, although Mittal is still ‘rumored’ to be the buyer and is publicly denying all news reports, it has been no secret that he was checking out this block to buy a house for his 32-year-old son, Aditya. Mittal himself already owns a 12 bedroom house in the same lovely Kensington Palace Gardens just nearby.

With this purchase father and son can be only a few multi-million dollar mansions away from one another. Princess Diana also lived in a mansion in this same neighborhood.

Back in March of this year, another London home took the prize for most expensive home sold with a sticker price of $227 million. And although the real estate market is terrible right now in the US, British-based billionaires are all hot and bothered about homes in London. Reportedly Roman Abramovic, the billionaire owner of Chelsea Football Club, has plans to build a new house in there that will be worth $297 million.

The price-tag on Mittal’s new house includes all the home furnishings and a sizable art collection. Isn’t that just great? You get a massive pad like this plus some priceless works of art tacked on. Good to see ‘The Art of the Deal’ is alive and well.

How about everything in the fridge and the washing machine, throw that in too?
